Using this site

The Cinema Chair publishes written and video analysis of how films and series are made. Reading it is free and requires no account. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, the remedy is simple: stop using it.

The site is operated by Rohan Mehindrakar from India.

What you may and may not do

You are welcome to read, quote with credit, link, and share.

You may not:

• Republish whole articles as your own, or without a visible credit and link
• Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people
• Use it to break the law, harass anyone, or infringe someone's rights
• Attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or its contact endpoint
• Submit anything through the form that is unlawful, abusive, or deliberately misleading

The writing and design

The original writing, the design, the layout, the logo and the name The Cinema Chair belong to Rohan Mehindrakar. Quoting a passage with credit is fine and encouraged. Wholesale copying is not.

Film stills and clips

Screenshots from films and series remain the property of their respective studios and rights holders, and are credited on the page where they appear. They are used here for criticism, review and commentary. No claim of ownership is made over any of it, and no affiliation with or endorsement by any studio is implied.

If you hold rights to an image on this site and want it removed, write to contact@thecinemachair.in and it will be taken down promptly while the claim is looked at.

Opinions, not facts

Analysis is interpretation. Readings of a scene are argument, not reporting, and reasonable people disagree. Nothing here is professional advice of any kind. Reasonable care is taken to be accurate, but no guarantee is made that anything on the site is complete, current or correct.

Links out

The site links to Instagram, YouTube, X and other places. Those are not run by The Cinema Chair, and their content and privacy practices are their own.

The shop

The shop is a catalogue. Prices shown are indicative, in Indian rupees, and are not an offer capable of acceptance. There is no checkout, no cart and no payment on this site: asking about a product sends an email, and any actual sale is arranged directly with you afterwards, on terms agreed in writing at that point.

Availability, prices, coupon codes and the products themselves can change or be withdrawn at any time. A coupon code has no cash value, may be limited by date, minimum order or number of uses, and can be withdrawn before it is used.

Signing in

Signing in with Google is only for administering the shop. Do not attempt to sign in to, or gain access to, an administrator account that is not yours. Access can be withdrawn at any time.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. It may go down, change, or disappear without notice. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

Terms may change. The date at the top is the version in force.
